Speech by Sameer Singh, in Germany

“First of all, I, Samir Singh, would like to wish for the success of this historic dialectical seminar in 2023. Besides that, I would also like to convey the message of the success of this seminar on behalf of Mohan Bikram Singh, the General Secretary of our party, NCP [Masal].

NCP [Masal] and MLPD have had friendly relations for a long time, as both parties are members of ICOR. We have also maintained friendly relations with other parties that are members of ICOR. We are confident that this type of relationship will deepen in the future.

Nepal is a semi–feudal and semi–colonial country. After the historical movement by the Nepalese people, a republic and secularism have been established. However, various monarchist forces are still trying to end the republic and secularism. Therefore, our party is now involved in the movement to institutionalize the republic and secularism. In this kind of movement, our party is ahead by working together with various republican forces. We have various theoretical, political, and ideological differences with the various republican parties of Nepal. Our party has serious differences with those republican parties on tactical issues like MCC and Federalism, as well as on strategy. Despite these differences, we are working together with the republican forces against the regressive and monarchist forces in Nepal.

American imperialism is becoming powerful in Nepal now. Culturally, religiously, and politically, it is trying to increase its influence. There is no improvement in the corruption and misrule of the ruling parties. Due to this kind of political character, they are becoming unpopular among the Nepalese people. Taking advantage of this unpopularity of the traditional ruling parties, US imperialism is now in the process of forming a political party in Nepal. In this way, American imperialism is working directly to increase its imperial influence. With the help of Indian imperialism, American imperialism is working against South Asian people.

The most important issue is the united movement of justice–loving revolutionary people around the world against world imperialism. Geographically, we are very far from each other, but the theory of Marxism and Leninism is guiding us. This principle has made us more energetic to fight against world imperialism. Dialectical materialism and historical materialist philosophy are giving us a clear worldview. Leninist organizational theory is providing us with the base for building a revolutionary organization.

The working–class movement in Nepal is greatly influenced by petty–bourgeois modes of thinking. The application of democratic centralism is very challenging in developing the revolutionary movement in Nepal. This is one part of reality. An important part of reality is that NCP -Masal_ is working for the bright future of the working–class people of Nepal. This party was established 75 years ago, and since then, it has been working for justice and equality for Nepali working–class people.

Nepali working–class people are facing many challenges due to the semi–feudalism and semi–colonial state structure. There are many contradictions in Nepali society, including gender and caste discrimination, migration of Nepali workers, and border problems because of Indian imperialism.

It is very important to internationalize the working–class movement. ICOR is the best platform for this type of movement. We should find a common agenda for the international revolutionary movement. Environmental catastrophe is a huge challenge for working–class people worldwide. For the profit of capitalists, such catastrophes are ongoing. We, as revolutionary people, should unite against such inequality and create a large movement against world imperialism.

We hope and believe that world imperialism will fall. Finally, the patriotic and revolutionary people of the world will be victorious. Long live Marxism, Leninism, and MaoÚs thought. Let the workers of the world unite”.
